Cliffs is divided into three business units.

North American Business Unit

• Tilden Mine, MI: 85% ownership
• Hibbing Taconite, MN: 23% ownership
• Northshore Mining, MN: 100% ownership
• United Taconite, MN: 100% ownership
• Wabush Mine, NL: 26% ownership

Coal

• Pinnacle and Green Ridge Mines, WV: 100% ownership
• Oak Grove Mine, AL: 100% ownership

Other Cliffs Ventures

• Renewafuel LLC, MI: 70% Ownership

Asia-Pacific Business Unit

• Cliffs Natural Resources Pty Ltd, Australia: 100% ownership
• Sonoma Project, Australia: 45% ownership

Latin America Business Unit

• Amapa Mine, Brazil: 30% ownership
